The PA700 is a modular PAPR system that works with a variety of headgear, breathing tubes, filters, and belts for different needs. The PR500 is a mask-mounted PAPR with everything integrated into one facepiece, offering a compact, streamlined option.
It depends on the headpiece. Loose-fitting hoods, like those used with the PA700 system, do not require fit testing, making them ideal for users with facial hair or those working in high-turnover settings. Tight-fitting facepieces, like those in the PR500 series, do require fit testing per OSHA guidelines.
NORTH™ PAPR systems are designed for all-day use. Most battery packs support up to 8+ hours of runtime, depending on the filter, system configuration, and environmental conditions.
